About

Willow graduated from Royal Birmingham Conservatoire with a Bachelor of Music (Honours) degree, studying with Amanda Roocroft.

Most recently, Willow played the title role in Paul Fincham's The Happy Princess at The Three Choir's Festival in 2023.  During her time at the conservatoire, Willow also explored the roles of Helena from Britten's A Midsummer Night's Dream, Alice from Verdi's Falstaff,  Susanna from Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro and The Herald from Purcell's The Fairy Queen, in the Vocal Department Opera Scenes. In addition to this, she collaborated with Robin Bowman to devise a performance of Menotti's The Telephone, in which she would play the role of Lucy. This was however cancelled due to COVID-19. Since graduating, Willow has begun to build up an Oratorio repertoire, working with both choral societies and established choirs around Herefordshire and Gloucestershire.

Growing up in Gloucestershire, Willow began her musical education at Gloucester Cathedral, singing in the youth choir from the age of thirteen. Throughout this time, she was taught by both Bronwen Mills and Alison Sutton, before moving to Royal  Birmingham Conservatoire, where she was fortunate to receive a funding scholarship. Willow believes that her choral background served as a strong foundation, upon which she is now building a repertoire of oratorio and operatic works.

In recent years, she has developed a keen interest in French Mélodie, through which she has devised and performed a number of recital programmes, incorporating the theme of Parisian Night. Alongside this, she has explored the works of women composers, performing recitals of varied programmes, to share the music of lesser-known composers.
